In doing so, we literally bottle up our survival energy in our cells like a pressure-cooker - which as it sounds, is pretty  uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, this may be an all-too-familiar story, but please read on with care. To be totally transparent with you, I am a survivor of assault. This experience initially left me feeling incredibly lost, and my sense of sense was completely shaken. It sent me spiraling to rock bottom - I even ended up walking away from my career in entertainment because I could hardly even function enough to get out of bed, let alone be on-stage.

But that experience of rock-bottom (anxiety, nightmares, heartache, weight issues, etc) really forced me to examine who I am, what actually makes me happy, how I want to take care of myself, and what impact I ultimately want to make in the world.

I found yoga, a plant-based lifestyle, and FINALLY a healing modality that brought me real relief -- a modality that took me back into my body - somatic experiencing. It was only there, within that I finally began to clear away the residue of my trauma and live my life with confidence, vibrancy, and flow.
